Question:

Licence Plates in Miami FL.?

Okay, I posted a question the other day on how to fix my car's a/c. Tomorrow is the big day, I am getting it insured and the tag. My Dad has an old car with an old tag. Is there any way he can put that tag under my name and put it for my car. He is not using the old car it's on now anyways.

I have to do the registration also, how much do you think that'll cost? My Mom says she called and they told her something about $240, do you think that includes the tag?

Can I pay the taxes for my car in the same place as the insurance or registration/licence plate place?

And... let's say it's not allowed to transfer tags, how much would a new tag for a new driver cost? I live in Miami, FL (maybe the prices range from state to state). I have also heard a new tag costs about $200. :/

Thanks in advance for your wisdom. :)

  1. You can pay the tax/ registration at your local tax collectors office, that's where you get your tag & reg from.

I don't think you will be able to transfer your dads tag to your car FL DMV states that any registerd car in the state ( on the

road or not) must have a registation tag on the vechile.

I doubt that a new tag will cost $200. They usaly go by the cost & type of viechicle.

  2. I don't think that you can if your over 25. Costs vary by state.
