Life Insurance Through Bank of America?

Has anybody purchased life insurance through Bank of America? I signed up around December '07 and saw the first debit in my bank account even though I had received nothing in writing from them. I called them and asked them to credit my account, that I wasn't interested. I couldn't get them to credit my account. Next thing I see another debit. I called again asking for a credit for each amount. I had to beg and plead with them. They promised to credit me. Now I have a third debit though I see one credit. I called saying I want three credits, not just one and now they are telling me that I was never told I could get more than one credit!!! Please DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THESE THIEVES. They are impossible to talk to and lied to me. If you have had a bad experience please let me know.

  1. Sadly Bank of America probably doesn't know anything about the insurance policy since they are probably not providing the insurance.  They probably partnered with a seperate life insurance company to provide the coverage to you.  The only thing you can do with them to stop the debits and future solicitations is to close your account, but that's not going to get you your money back.

You need to go back to the original sales materials and look for the actual life insurance company that is writing the insurance.  They have to tell you in the materials.  Once you find out who the life insurance company is then just look up their website and give their customer service department a call.

If you don't have the materials, then I believe that Bank of America markets a Great West Life and Annuity Insurance Company simplified issue term product.  You might start with them.

  2. I am not going to  say I am one hundred percent sure about the answer.Besides it really depends on the personal feelings.SO it would better for you to find yourself. Here is a good resource.http://lifeinsurance.online-helpers.info...

  3. When did bank of america become an insurance company?  Do you think you're going to get good rates through a middle man?  By law you have the right to cancel life insurance and get a full refund if you cancel it within the first 10 days of receiving the policy.  if you have problems doing this file a complaint with your state's insurance commisioner, they'll be happy to take care of it for you.

  4. I signed up for a health insurance plan through Banc of America, so far I haven't seen any kind of paperwork, but some deduction from my checking acount. I'd been so busy that I been unable to really sit dow and tract all this. But, I won't sign up for any other offer, that's for sure.

  5. I had something like this happen to me. I called the better business bureau. You will have to contact the one from the area that they are from. I got the number from information. I did end up getting my money back. Good Luck

  6. I don't know what you signed up for, but forget the phone calls.  If you want to cancel, do it in writing via certified mail.
