Question:

Life in a box: a poem?

I live in a box

made of glass.

It's quiet there

as the hours pass.

In the box in my head,

I'm who I am.

No need for fear.

No one to condemn.

I grow tired sometimes

of the role that is me.

I act my part

and few really see.

But someday, I'll break out

and stand proud on my own.

No more pain and fear

I'll finally be known.
