Question:

Lifestyle Change! Motivation?

After some late night internet research and becoming just frustrated with how tired I am all the time, I've decided that I want to turn my life around for the better. I've always needed to lose weight, but never knew where to begin. I know that in order to achieve my goal, I'm going to have to stay motivated and self reliant. During my research, I've deduced that I'll need to lose about 70 lbs to be at my "ideal weight". I'm not looking to be "skinny", but healthy looking.

Any help at all is very much appreciated!

The Facts:

I'm 22 years old, have been "obese" for awhile now (probably about 7 years). I have a "salty" tooth (I'm not a huge sweets fan), and have been addicted to carbs for a long time. I'm 5'4".

My BMI indicates that I'm 36.0

Standard BMI is as follows:

* Underweight = <18.5

* Normal weight = 18.5-24.9

* Overweight = 25-29.9

* Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater

The Question(s):

1.) What exactly for my hight is the correct BMI and/or weight?

2.) What foods would be ideal to eat to lose a significant amount of weight?

3.) What type(s) of exercise would produce the fastest result? How long per day would I have to do said types to achieve my goal in a timely fashion?

4.) What have been the best motivational helps for you?

5.) Does a dietary supplement or over the counter (i.e. - Slimfast, dietary pills) product help or hinder you if applied to your program?

6.) If losing weight produces visible stretch marks, is there a way to get rid of those?

7.) How much water a day would I need to consume?

8.) What could I do to boost my metabolism?

9.) What's the average time frame I'd see results?

Going to a gym is a bit out of the question since there's really none around me, so any home methods you could provide would be wonderful!

I understand it's going to be a long, hard road, but I can't keep on this destructive path. I want to live a long, full life and that just isn't going to happen staying the way I am. I really want to look and feel better, and there has to be a beginning to everything.

Thanks so much for anyone who responds beforehand!

  1. http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/bmi-m.ht...  for correct BMI and/or weight?

    Lots of fluids-- no corbonated drinks, vegetables mostly boiled, fruits green leaves

    40 mins of brisk walking in the morning, 5 minutes of stomach excercises

    Go to a public place see how active people are, once I had to see other patients at a hospital well, from that evening onwards for the past three years I am going for short jogs, brisk walk combined for over a hour..

    Lots of water whenever thirsty.

    Ensure lots of fluid intake after walking as sweating lets out salt from our body.

    After three days you will be very very active, maybe little sleepy for the first coule of dayss!

    First week your neck and shoulder wings will be very attractive, in a month your stomach will reduce in two months weight will also reduce drastically....

    All the best, start it and you will live a healthy life as long as you wish to live

  2. i'll answer number 4.

    if i hadn't found a way to get motivated i would not have decided to lose weight. i wasn't necessarily depressed but i was living in despair and thought why even bother with trying to lose weight.

    a show was on TV called I Can Make You Think

    never knew how to have a positive outlook or how to be motivated until i saw the show.

    when on my first diet ever and lost 20lbs since June .about 15more to go. some weeks i lost nothing but i remain positive and just plug along.

    since the show isn't on TV ,i point you to the website with the same info.sign in and watch the videos. you'll figure everything else on your own because you will be positive and motivated to do so. or at least it worked for me.

  3. 1.) What exactly for my hight is the correct BMI and/or weight?

    I would stop with the BMI, they're inaccurate to be honest.

    2.) What foods would be ideal to eat to lose a significant amount of weight

    3.) What type(s) of exercise would produce the fastest result? How long per day would I have to do said types to achieve my goal in a timely fashion?

    I'd start out walking for an hour. Then lifting some light lb dumbbells. Muscle eats fat.

    4.) What have been the best motivational helps for you?

    Myself. My mind, it's all I got....believing in myself. Anything is possible. Remember!

    5.) Does a dietary supplement or over the counter (i.e. - Slimfast, dietary pills) product help or hinder you if applied to your program?

    DIET PILLS!! Ahh!! Look, I'll be honest... I've been using fat burners since I was a teen. I accommodated the fat burners by getting in a healthy eating regimen AND excercise. I believe that fat burners/diet pills should be used to give you that extra "edge" to go out and excercise. It is a myth that the weight will all come back when you stop taking them. If you are really looking for diet pills- I strongly suggest you get on LIPO-6.. But remember-there are soooo many side effects that people don't take into consideration- mood swings, depression, paranoa, messed up metabolism, heart failure/problems. It's almost like speed(speeds everything up). I took a product called Evomine-X, took for couple of months-didn't ween myself off properly------and became an angry miserable S.O.B!! ------------- As for Slimfast, SURE! It's OKAY!

    6.) If losing weight produces visible stretch marks, is there a way to get rid of those?

    Yes!! There is. SUN TANNERY!!! When I took HGH-------I got so many stretch marks on my arms, started going to the sun tannery for my postmature acne and stretch marks--- dried the acne up, faded the stretch marks!! First stretch marks turn white, then eventually fade in the sun tannery. Sun tannery will also make you feel better about yourself!

    7.) How much water a day would I need to consume?

    Drink A LOT. This is quite subjective as it varies

    8.) What could I do to boost my metabolism?

    Well..... Fat burners/Diet pills will do just that for you.

    9.) What's the average time frame I'd see results?

    Sorry. It will take months until noticable weight loss.

    Good luck to you. Email me if you'd like. :)
