Lifetime TIVO?

Question

Ok so its series 2 DVR. I will buy the system and transfer it.

I have regular cable, just about 60 some channels. Can you record 2 different shows at one time that are showing at the same time? Can you record something from another channel while you are watching something else?

Do I have to have Tivo already? Exactly how would I go about recording some of my shows to DVDs ? Kinda like when I used to record the edited versions of movies when they blank out all the swear words. With my VCR but I am trying to upgrade.

I can transfer them to my laptop?

Will I need alot of extra tools besides my box?

Ok final will I have to pay Tivo anything (monthly).

I saw the box on eBay for under 200 bucks.

These are Im sure really stupid questions. Easy to answer perhaps.

A series two TWO tuner TiVo will let you record two channels at once or watch one channel while you record another.

To copy TiVo recordings to DVD you transfer them to your computer then burn a DVD. To do that you need the TiVo To Go software. It is free from TiVo. Go here - http://www.tivo.com/mytivo/domore/tivoto...

You need either a phone line or Internet connection for TiVo to download software updates and program information.
