Light Fittings?

Question

I have forgot how to do them and used to do light fittings, but am i right in the fact that all "Neutral" wires go together only 1 "Live" wire is used, and the earth don't need to be used with this fitting so they are placed safetly into another connecter and placed back in the ceiling.

earth to earth, neutral to neutral. If you have two lives, one will go in loop and the other in live to allow the continuation of the radial circuit. I can't remember where the switch wire goes. I will send a link of wireing diagram.
