if lightning struck some one would there be a way for that person to direct the lightning in to some thing or just direct the lightning out of their body

  1. If you are already struck by lightning it's too late to do anything about it. The electricity is just passing through you on its way to the ground anyway.

    The damage done is a crush injury just like getting run over by a vehicle.


  2. You want to make sure that lightning doesn't hit you at all! The lightning would hit your body so fast you wouldn't have time to do anything (lightning is so fast it can circle the earth 11 times in 1 second). Just make sure you aren't: holding anything that is connected to the outside power lines (telephones, etc.), on top of buildings, under trees, out in a flat field in the event of a lightning storm.

  3. Well, I guess if you use some principle like lightning rods are used for buildings, it should be possible. That provides an alternate path for lightnings.
