Question:

Lights-off campaign?

Okay I heard about this campaign in which cities around the world (I think Sydney and Buenos Aires are some) get their inhabitants to turn off all their lights for one hour. I think it's happening in March. Does anyone know the name of this campaign and where I could find out more about it? Thanks!

  3. No one is stopping you.  Why not turn your lights off tonight, and every night?

  4. I turn lights off as a matter of habit and to conserve. If you have a computer unplug power cord from the wall the same with toaster, television, turn fans off when you leave the rooms. Mostly anything made now has and chip in it and runs though the button says off, that is just the way it is, however if you get use to unplugging your appliances not all of course not only is it a conservation plus.....check out how much you save on the electricity consumption and your lower electric bill. It's great.

  5. Now that's something where teachers could actually be useful - teach kids to turn the lights off when they leave a room.  Since they don't pay the bill, they don't seem to care.  Maybe it could be instilled in them that it hurts the environment.

  6. I have not heard but I am going to stay posted because that sounds like a great idea.

  7. i turn out lights every night for 8 hours i don`t need a group to tell me that
