Well I am only 16 and my parents do not know anything about computers, I don't want to call anyone because it always costs money, when people can help me out here :D! I will be as detailed as possible now!

I have 2 computers and one is connected to a router and a wireless D-Link to my other computer just a Linksys which the internet wont connect to. And currently I rest the computer fully and starting out fresh. I have a USB Linksys connected to it and I have no idea how to set up a wireless connection from my Linksys to the router that is upstaires. I don't think I have a CD for the Linksys but I do for my D-Link. The model of my Linksys is WUSB54GP and the D-Link is DI - 614 . I cannot connect my Linksys to the router it does not have a USB thing in it. Please help me out. I am completely clueless and barely installed Windows XP on that computer. Thanks a bunch :D. 1. u install the wireless adapter to ur computer as u mention (linksys).

Then search for the the access point (ur D link should b wireless router)

Then connect it (using WEP key  if the router has it)

    Then U r done!

  2. You have a Modem that plugs into the wall from your Service provider that connects to your computer with an Ethernet cable.  Disconnect it and plug in a Wireless router to the Modem.

Take another Ethernet cable and plug the computer into the router.  Now make sure the computer still works.

If it does, go to the Linksys web site and download the driver & the Quick Install for the USB device for the laptop here: http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite...

You will need to select your Version number (read the web page for help).  You might also want the User Guide.

Install the Driver And run the Quick install and follow the directions.  It should find the router after setup.

Once you are running you can get more info in the D-Link here: http://support.dlink.com/supportfaq/  You will need the EXACT number.  Also that is an older model so they don't support it anymore.
