Lions tour?

Is there a lions tour this summer and if there is who is likely to get picked?

There isn't a tour this summer. There is one every four years. the last one was to new zealand in 2005. So the next one is in 2009. (south Africa) I personally can't wait for it!

I suspect these players will be chosen- (and more)

ENGLAND-

Danny Cipriani, Jonny Wilkinson, Mike Catt

WALES-

Shane Williams, Alun Wyn Jones, Ian Gough, James Hook, Stephen Jones, Martyn Williams, Tom Shanklin, Gavin Henson, Lee Byrne

SCOTLAND-

Chris Paterson, Jason White, Ally Hogg, Scott Macloed, Rory Lamont, Nathan Hines

IRELAND-

Brian O'Driscoll, Ronan O'Gara, Geordan Murphay, John Hayes, Eoin Reddan

I Don't know many England Players sorry!

I suspect a lot of Wales Players will be picked due to the 2008 Welsh Grand-Slam. Warren Gatland will not be manager, but i'd like to see Mike Ruddock get the job. I'd also like Jake White to get the Job, Or even Shaun Edwards...Who knows.

No ~ the Lions tour South Africa in 2009. As for who will be picked, well a lot can happen in a year but at least with McGeechan as coach everyone will be in with a chance of selection unlike when Woodward was coach.
