Littlest Pet Shop Diary????!?

Question

ok, i am looking to buy my daughter the voice activated "Littlest Pet Shop Electronic Diary" but she only wants it if you can take the figure of the dog out of where it's sitting and play with it just like any other "Littlest Pet Shop" figure. Is the figure that comes with the diary a regular "Littlest Pet Shop" figure or is it attached to the diary?? We are both confused, please help!!

it does come off but it has 2 holes in its butt to attach to the diary.  it also doesnt have a magnet in its paw. but other than that, it is just like a normal littlest pet shop figure.

My little sister has one and I just asked her.  She said that you can take it out and play with it.
