  1. Not much else to add to what the other posters have correctly said...coming to Thailand for work is not just a simple case of jumping on an plane and coming...

If the company you are working for is prepared to transfer you then great, but suspect you have visions of getting off the plane in BKK and walking into a job....not that simple....

Also on the visa's research to your hearts content, and would take a bet you will still be confused on the requirements

  2. Agree with Marine you need to come here and visit and then decide.  However, getting a job here is another issue.  If your company doesn't have a position available here or another company who will employee you at there Thailand branch, I think your going to have a hard time.  Thailand is not going to let you come here and take a job  that a Thai person can do.   You may put Ice Cube out of a job.

  3. My read of your question make me think your putting the cart before the horse.  You don't decide to move to Thailand, then get a visa, then get a job, it works the other way around.

Have you ever been to Thailand?  I might suggest visiting a couple of time before making a rash decision.  Thailand is not going to up and let you move there forever unless you have money to invest 2.000.000 for a one year Visa and 10,000,000 for a three year visa unless you have a proffer of a job.  Your experience and education may not be of help if your jobs is able to be filled by a Thai.  Below is the MFA visa website.  Good Luck
