Hi its Chloe again

So i am looking at getting sponsership by a salon and "If" worse comes to worse and it dosnt work out in that salon then now know that i could be sponsered by another salon out there- if they will have me of course. (worse case senerio).

I think its worth the risk.

Now my next question is can i apply for a Defacto visa at the same time

I have been seeing my boyfriend for over a year and have proof of that

(holiday in shilanka over a year ago)

We plan to live together when i go back.

So do i have to have actually lived with him for a 12 months prior to applying for the Defacto visa? given the above proof of a relationship for over a year.

Hope this is making sence!

So im thinking I will probably have to "live" with him on a sponsered visa for a year? then apply?

  1. you need to be able to prove you have lived together for a year, bank statements, utility bills etc are required.the holiday in sri lanka wont count as that isn't proof you live together.

Again go to the Australian embassy and it will give you all the info you need.

  2. I take it that you are applying for a 457 visa seeing you are talking about sponsorships. If you are than you can ask your sponsor to include your boyfriend in the visa. His is classed as the secondary applicant and can work or study in Australia while your visa is valid. Have a look at the following immigration department webpage:

    http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/skilled-w...

If you are confused after viewing the site,  send me a message and I will try to explain it for you.

P.S. it would help if you mentioned the type f visa you are applying for as I am only guessing it is the 457 visa. Other visas have different rules and restrictions.
