Question:

Living in France as a foreigner?

I'm a Natirah-American (American who is Native American, African and European descent). I was interested in going to France for college maybe. First off. I have an odd appearance. I'm very pale. Beyond pale. Pale enough that they don't even make concealor for my skin tone (porcelain and ivory are too dark on me). My hair is long white blonde (think lighter than Gwen Steffani) down past my waist. My eyes are blue but sometimes look purple. Ironically, no, I'm not an albino but hundreds of people have asked me if I am. I have a lot of tribal tattoos (traditional Native American and African). Will I painfully stick out or look weird? Secondly I have a thick lisp/speech problem. My voice almost sounds French or a really British accent. Ever seen the movie The Others? I sound like Anne and Nicholas on most of my words. How will people take this? Also I would like to try modeling/acting (not a big career) there. I'm 5'8-5'9 ft and slender but I have DD b*****s. Could I have chance? Thanks.

  1. In France, if you're not french you are considered lower than whale p**p. I worked with the French navy and I found the French people as a whole were very unfriendly, especially to Americans. They consider the only people on earth worth anything are French, born if France.

I knew of a Family whose Grandfather went to France from Turkey 1900's, his family was all born in France to today, the French still consider them Turks.

  2. The same question you asked separately for "Germany" as well. I guess you search for something completely different.

english or french accent  no way ! I simply don´t believe it

  3. I would try if I were you. I doesn't matter how you look or sound, and if people would judge you by that, then they aren't worth getting to know. You'll meet some great people in France, and hopefully have a great experiance!!

  4. The tattoos will make you stick out, sure. As for the rest, you don't give any idea where you would like to live in or study so can't tell you if you will stick out or not. The size of your b*****s is not a very good information in that kind of question.

  5. Schizophrenia

  6. If it's what you want to do, why not? I'm French but currently live in London and it hasn't been all that unpleasant. I'm sure we'll extend the same courtesy to an American.

  7. Sorry, but your question seems strange since all you says has little to do with the title.

Are you expecting to make a living abroad with your physical features only?

  8. You sound very exotic looking.  If your looks don't bother you, don't let them hold you back from doing something you want.  I don't think anything is terribly permanent.  if you were to go, and find it is a mistake, you can always backtrack and come home.  Try it.  Give it a whirl.  Of course, as far as modeling goes, you should talk to a modeling agency as to whether you have a chance in that business.

  9. like in USA , you have your chance for your future in France.

Don´t be afraid, you will meet dummies in France who hate US ( as some americans who hate France and french), you must ignore them....that´s it

Our cost of life could be expensive (especially in paris)but you can find easily a work (french managers want to create more than 100 000  in 2008).

working laws are very streng in france (you cannot be fired easily), and the health care is very good (one of the best in the world).

our food is very good, and of course all international cooking places could be found, and you have a lot of place (monuments,museums....) to visit

Enjoy your new life in our beautiful country

  10. Try it.  You have everything to gain and nothing to lose.  Good luck, or as they say in French, bonne chance!
