Local Area Connection 2 unplugged!?

Question

My friend was on her computer and the internet and other connections just stopped!!

In the my computer control panel "local area connection 2" was unplugged.

What plug is this? What does it look like?

and how can this be fixed asap!!

the lan wire is simple unplugged. re-connect it to your computer lan card, at the back of the pc...or maybe your modem is turn off

if it is not unplugged, try a different machine with the same eth cable, if it does not work, the problem is cable.  Do the same thing with the port on the router.

The eth card my have given out as well, first you need to do your best to confirm that is the problem by trouble shooting before you try to replace the eth card
