  1. Yeah, they would be fine, if you could get your leo to eat it.

As a rule, they tend not to touch anything that doesn't move.

You will be better off with mealworms, live silkworms as a treat or small crickets.

  2. Silk worms should be used as a treat not as a staple part of it's diet. As a staple i feed mine crickets, locusts and mealworms. These insects should be properly gutloaded to give your gecko the full spectrum of nutrition it requires. You can feed these insects apples, carrots, greens, potato peel etc. A variety of fruits and veg. They should not, however, be given acidic fruit such as orange, lemon, grapefruit etc as this causes diarrhea within the insect leading to dehydration.

The gecko should be given live food, not pre-killed. After the insect dies it begins to loose nutrition. Live insects are the healthiest option, plus leos tend to eat moving prey, if it's stationary they are inclined to ignore it.

  3. You can certainly try it, but leopard geckos generally won't eat anything that doesn't move. In fact, my brother's gecko doesn't even notice his live food until it starts moving. You'll have better luck with live mealworms or small live crickets.

  4. My Geckos wont eat anything that doesn't move. I started to breed my own crickets and meal worms just so I wouldn't have to go to the store and buy half dead crickets. Its easier than you think to breed these feeders and you know they are healthy.

  5. i dont recommend it especially not the first one Crickets are a Geckos main Diet but if the mealworms are alive then they will be fine but if you do that put him on a Cricket/Mealworm diet feed him more crickets than http://www.leopardgecko.com/emcare.html
