Hamilton-Canada

to

Brisbane-Australia

Whaat Can i Do on that long plane ride

  2. Music, books and relax. No point getting het up. Make the most of it by being positive.

Well, you will probably have to change planes at least once either in LA or San Francisco depending on who you travel with.  When you do I suggest that you spend at least some of the time walking around the waiting area as sitting for long periods can cause problems with circulations in your legs.  That being said the longest part of the trip is the flight to Sydney/Brisbane.  Of course the flight is overnight so I would try to get some sleep.   The flight itself is about 14 hours so you have a choice of watching the movie or bringing a book to read.  If you are lucky and have a good seat mate you can chat or bring some cards and play.

    I have flown that flight a number of times (LAX to SYD) and generally I would suggest a combination of reading, taking a few walks around the plane to stretch your legs and trying to get some sleep.  Purchase some bottled water once you have cleared security as you can bring that abourad as far as I am aware.  Dehydration is one problem on long flights so a bottle or 3 may prove helpful to you.

  4. ohh...I'm an expert at this , you can do the following......

    * take sleeping pills

    * IPOD

    * PSP, DS, Game boys

    * A thick book to read

    * drawing

    * watch the movies provided on the plane (bring your own ear phones the ones on plane isn't comfortable)

  5. I'm currently on my third visit to the USA........I recommend....make sure you fly with an Airline that has "entertainment" .......I watch about 4 Movies....listen to Music......play video games....all on the In -Flight entertainment screen.

    There is also sleeping.....(if you can)...personally....I have trouble.....but if you can sleep comfortably even for a few hours it certainly helps with the Jetlag too!!

    All the Flights from LAX leave at around 11pm .....the flight will take 12-13 hrs.

    What I find interesting sometimes is chatting with the person in the seat next to you, flying alone can be boring, but if you are lucky enough to be sitting with an Aussie.......ask them "anything"......we're friendly and always ready to talk about our fabulous country....passes time too......I've met some wonderful people from all walks of life.

  9. Walking up and down the cabin a few times should pass some time and it's good to do exercise when you up high above the ground .
