Lookinf for tattoo advice?

Hi, im thinking of getting a tattoo in sanskrit on the inside of my upper arm, and was wondering if you could give a rough guide to cost and if you think its a good area.

The tattoo is in size 28 font (1 x 8.2 cm)

I would say  why.  especially when it will not even be visible to most  what are you trying to prove.  my advise  would be don't do it  put the money  to something better.

You have to go hit the pavement and talk to different artist about cost.  not one person is going to know what an artist is going to charge.  Price will depend on detail of the tattoo, amount of time, amount of supplies used (ink), experience of the artist, etc. etc.

Go talk to different artist and look at their profiles.  If your not sure bout the artist, go to another one and keep looking till you find one.  Dont shop for a artist by the price...cause you pay for what ya get...meaning that $50 you saved going to a person with a lot less experience is going to show in the ink.

EDIT:  It's great you are getting it for yourself, so dont listen to the nay sayers on this.  It's a bit hard to say what it's going to cost.  Like I said many different factors.  If you have your price range set, dont worry bout what it might cost...go to the different artist and see what they price, if it is not within your costs, ask them why it would be more than what you expected.  What may actually help you is checking out artist who have inked some people you know...use that person with the ink done as a reference and you may get a small cut off the price compared to just any other person that walks off the street.  But again, dont let price factor over the quality of work they do and what their portfolio looks like.

the inside of your upper arm is gonna be painfull.  really painfull.  and you will have to call around to different tattoo artists to get a good idea of price.  they all charge differently
