Lortabs and flexiril?

Question

And what would they show up as? I think lortabs would test you positive for opiates, but what about flexiril? And how long untill they are gone??(as in..no longer found in urine?)

I have a friend who takes these drugs but also has to give UA's for other people so she needs to know, and I dont have that information. any help would be appreciated.

WARNING: Lortabs and Flexeril are not supposed to be taken together.

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) and Hydrocodone (Ingredient of lortab) reacts with one another. These two agents never go along well together and has high risk of side effects and harm to the body.

I recommend that You tell your friend to visit her doctor ASAP.

She should tell her doctor of both medications and in case the doctor still believes that your friend needs to continue with both medications then the following management must be followed:

MANAGEMENT: During concomitant use of these drugs, patients should be monitored for potentially excessive or prolonged CNS and respiratory depression. Ambulatory patients should be counseled to avoid hazardous activities requiring complete mental alertness and motor coordination until they know how these agents affect them, and to notify their physician if they experience excessive or prolonged CNS effects that interfere with their normal activities.

And the answer to your actual question is that, should she be continuing with the Lortabs, it will show in a blood or urine test as positive for opiates. Flexeril will not show up as for opiates but can be tested for the ingredients it has got.

Lortab is vicodin.  It;s just a brand name for it.  So yes of course you are going to test positve for opiates.  Flexirel is a muscle relaxer.  I am not sure what catagory it is in drug wise, but it is a controlled substance.  Opiates usually clear the system in three days.  I am not sure for muscle relaxers.  I used to be addicted to vicodin and if you or your friend are taking these medications, I would be really careful.  The addiction can destroy your life...
