Lost relative?

My grandmothers maiden last name is Garcia.

And my last name is Ochoa.

My friend has Garcia as a last name.

Are we somehow related?

Not by a loooong shot. Look at your family tree but not a chance.

Doubt it, Garcia is a very common name.

I mean technically if you go FARRRR enough back you could technically find a link, BUT that would be next to impossible

Isn't Garcia a common last name? The chances of your friend being related to you and your family not knowing is VERY unlikely. I have tons of friends with my super common last name.
