Question:

Louis Roederer Brut 1996?

I have recently acquired two bottles of Roederer Cristal 1996 (750ml) and am inclined to sell them.

I visited a bar manager quite recently and he offered me £145 for them, as he says he gets his for £145 from his normal supplier. However, I am unsure as to how true this is, so am wondering if anyone knows how much I should be selling this to a bar for.

The bottles he sells are £250 but I do not know if they are 1996.

Could anyone give me a rough figure as to the price this specification of champagne is supplied at, and how much I should be looking to get for it.

Thanks.

  1. I would love to see his normal supplier if her can get '96 Cristal for that... He may get the '02 or even the 2000 for that on a good day, but he is seriously trying to scam you if he claims 145 is its current list price. Walk away... and if you are suggesting he is offering 145 for both then RUN away!

Ex VAT and duty you can get it at Farr Vinters for just a smidgen over 200 quid a bottle.

    Edit:

    No probs.
