had low placenta at 16 and 20 weeks at scans, went to hospital Saturday morning due to losing my mucus plug also backache and some mild pains

but they did not tell me if i was dilating or effaced due to my placenta still covering my cervix.....

Shouldn't they have done a scan to see if i was dilating or effaced?

They was going to keep me in over night but changed their minds and gave me some tablets and sent me home

Please give me some advice as i am really p****d of and not seeing my midwife for another 2 weeks?

  1. If you have low placenta they cannot do an exam to check for dilation (no vaginal exams). You will most likely need a c-section at 36 or 37 weeks due to Placenta Previa. Watch for any bleeding it can be dangerous.
