  1. i think he is going to train like 30 times harder if he fights serra...i think the serra fight is his last.. he will go down as the most dominant welterweight of all time... cause even the best loose..and he will be in the hall OF FAME

  2. I would say he should not have a shot at the title. He is my favorite fighter(along with crocop). I think Matt Serra and Hughes is Good Good match up for Hughes. Hughes will train to shut Serra up. can he do it? Hopefully we will get to find out, and I hope he does. He has more title defenses than anyone in the UFC right now and probably for a long time so he is a shoe in for the Hall of Fame. His legacy is a different story. Some fighters lose frequently at the end of their career but still are remembered as one of the greats. Every one knows that Alves would not have stood a chance with Hughes two years ago, so only time will tell. In my mind, Matt Hughes in his prime should be considered one of the top ten pound for pound of all time.

  3. Matt Hughes will beat Serra in a match. Matt Hughts does have a chance at the title. He has as many fights as he wants in him and he is the greatest welterweight in the history of MMA. Hall of famer 100%. Loses are not tarnishing his legacy one bit.

  4. I say he and Serra should settle their score. That would be a great fight, that I see Hughes winning. After that, Hughes is done. The game has passed him by. And that's a good thing. It means the talent has evolved, which means bigger, better fights. He is a hall of famer, a good person, and will be missed if/when he goes.

  5. Hall of Fame for sure.

He is the most dominant champion in UFC history. If they let Ken Shamrock be in the HOF then probably they'll let Hughes be in it.
