MMA fights?

If you go to a mma place and train how would you get a mma fight?What you have to do?

I have a friend who owns an MMA gym, he spends half his day finding promotes and sponsors for some of his fighters.  If the Kru or BJJ instructor thinks you're ready, he'll tap you on the shoulder, if he doesn't, make int known that you want to try an amateur MMA fight.

My friend spends half the day on the phone, getting sponsorships and arraining fights, he has done well we have at least one IFL fighter and gets sponsorships for many others.
