  1. I would call the manufacturer and talk to the support department.

  2. I have 3 LCD myself and the first one did the same thing u explaining  there is nothing else to do u have to take it back for the can give you new one or if u did not bought the insurance most of the TVs have one year guarantee :)

  3. Check the breaker on thesurge protector. Even if the breaker is clear, unplug the surge protector and plug back in to clear it, then try powering on your TV again.

  4. The guy two answers above had a good suggestion; check the surge protector that you have it plugged into and reset it.

If that doesn't work, or the tv isn't plugged into a surge protector, then grab your manual and go to the troubleshooting page.

There SHOULD be something related to resetting the tv.  Many devices have a method where you can set back everything manually to the default settings.

If this does not work, then looks like your surge protector failed to do it's job - a short burst of strong current probably spiked your tv and fried the initiating board (fancy word "amp distributor"), which means that board will need to be replaced - something you won't be able to do.

I bet anything that they'll just send you a brand new TV.

If so, I strongly suggest you get a very good surge protector, not power strip.
