MY ROOM NEEDS SOME HELP?

Question

I see t.v shows and the girls room look awesome but unfortunately my room is very small. I want to make it cool. I would like to paint it pink with green and re-order my furniture. I was thinking of throwing out stuff I don't need. I also have many awards and pictures hanging up on my walls. Do you think I should take them off. What should I do to make my room look more spacious? Help please.

Well, first i would get rid of any unwanted furniture to clear some space out. Say you have a really big desk or something that you use just for storage (that was my problem). Then check out some local furnature stores and tag sales and websites for small, reasonably priced items that you think will fit your room better (don't worry if its the wrong color, you can always paint). I always suggested getting shelving units or some type of storage to help clear space or hide clutter. Green and pink is a very bright color scheme, so if thats what your going for then good! I would suggest one wall green and one wall pink etc etc or maybe pink with a green stripe(s) or my friend has polka dots which is also cool. Take the pictures down and maybe get either a bulletin board so you can display them nicely or even make a collage to frame for a more artsy look thats still kinda polished. Unless you don't want them on the wall, then i would say get a scrap book. If you have poster and stuff that you want to keep, don't just tack them anywhere, try and find places for them where they'll maybe be a conversation piece or something. Keeep the awards, but if you don't wnat them in your room, give them to your mom, i'm sure she'll fina a place for them. For more space, try rearranging the furniture, like maybe push your bed against the wall rather than have it pointing towards the center of the room (if that was the case atleast). Also, get some funky curtains, they always brighten up a room :)

How about a pink room with green furniture

(I don't mean paint anything that isn't furniture pink, what ever you think needs it)

Put your awards and trophies in a section in your room but make sure they are not spread out largely over a wall or else you will seem like a show off

Or...

Try painting your walls pink a put green polka dots on it or paint your room pink with a wavy green line going through it or any pattern you want
