Mac book itunes burn trouble?

Question

i always get three error messages

-medium write error

-failed to calibrate laser power

( i only got the third once or twice I don't remember what it was)

I've tried changing the burn speed it only has worked once or twice

Im wondering if there is something i can do or do i need to take it back to the apple store and see what they can do

I would repair disk permissions (Finder>Applications>Utilities> Disk Utility.

If that does not fix the issue, then yes, I would recommend taking it to the Apple store for a possible hardware issue.

If you are feeling adventurous, you could always pop in your Reinstall disc (the first one) and hold down the "d" key as you startup. It will boot from the hardware test and tell you if anything is wrong.
