Mailing question?

so im sending a cd with a case on it to my friend. and im just wondering what kinda stamp i should put on the envelope or if i need 2 stamps or something. help would be much appreciated!! thank you!!

At the Post Office they have padded bags that a cd will fit in.  Purchase that and tell the clerk that it is a cd and you need it to be sent First Class.  You could send it Media Mail but if there is a large heavy parcel in the same LARGE mail container it could damage/shatter the cd.  I think in the long run you'll be better off sending it First Class, and there probably won't be too much difference in the price of 1st class and Media.  Plus, it will be there quicker than if it went Media Mail.

Take it to the post office and tell them you want to mail your envelope Media Mail, it should be cheaper and you can make sure that it won't be broken.

You can mail a mini CD in cardboard inside a regular  rectangular envelope with no extra change.

There's a surcharge for special handing for square items if they're an ounce or less.  If it's over an ounce, there's just the normal fee-per-weight in USA.
