I was wondering if after the the major league baseball trade deadline could they still trade players somehow, and if they can how can they trade

  1. You Can trade players off waivers. Say a team wants to trade somebody, they have to ask each team starting with the teams with the worst record and see if anybody will give them their asking price for the player. All the Trade deadline means is you can no longer trade players to whatever team you want.

Yes you can.There is just a lot more red tape.An example would be if the Yankees wanted to trade Giambi.He would have to be put on waiver.I am sure you have heard of the waiver wire or a player cleared waivers.What this does is it gives any team a chance to claim the player.For example they would have to pick up Giambis contract.If he clears or nobody picks him up they called Cleared The Waiver.He then can be traded by the Yankees to a team of their choice.
