Makeup in 6th grade?

Question

I wear i tiny bit of eyeliner, enough to make my eyes stand out a little more (cuz i LOVE my eye color...they're like gold!), lip gloss, and concealer (just for some areas that have a couple red zits), and i'm going into 6th grade. Do you think that that's a little much? It makes me feel better about myself, but i was just wondering if people would look at me funny in the halls. I'm already quite aware that i look, and act more mature than most 6th graders. So please don't tell me "you're going to look so OLD!" i already do....w/o the makeup. I'd really love your input. Thanks a lot!

no, thats not too much, just dont over do the eyeliner. or maybe do a light brown pencil, and some color, but just enough to make your eye pop. the colour would set off your gold eyes.

I personally don't wear make up because i prefer to be me without a mask. The makeup  can contribute to you having zits because no matter what kind it is, it does clog the pores. i don't care what the bottle or company says. You need to wash your face with something good like ProActive to get rid of them and keep your face looking its best. I will give you the eye liner if it is that important. but lay off the concealer. You don't need it in 6th grade. My step daughter is in 7th now and i don't think she wears it. she lives with her mom. She never does when she is here.

i just came out of 6th grade and all the girls wore makeup. eye liner on the top and bottom wouldnt be so bad. put like a blue or pink shadow on.. not two much and not too much eyeliner so you dont look like a clown. lol.

Look too old? 6th grade..? You're just a kid, you should be interested in other kind of stuff...not wearing make up..wait until you turn 16 and maybe you can start wearing makeup...just dont use makeup for now...

You should feel great about your natural complexion. Too much make-up will deff make you seem like you're trying to hard/a wanna-be. Don't worry about zits, everyone gets them. Not covering them up doesn't make you gross. It shows you have nothing to hide and people will see that you're real. Besides going into middle school, most girls are gonna think its cool to pile on make-up, so be natural. Be yourself, which is unique and beautiful. (no homo lol) Trust Me. i've been through it all

Honestly, Yes. putting on more make up dose not make you look any older at all, in fact it makes you look younger in a way like you don't  know what you're doing.

I'm going in to my senior year of High school and i wear hardly any make up, most of the time even none. I'm sure you're a beautiful young lady and look great with out any. Good luck, Middle school's a big change ! :]

Ok, it doesn't matter if you look and act more "mature" than other 6th graders-too much makeup is too much makeup. I understand that it makes you feel better about yourself, but honestly, loads of eyeliner is putting out the wrong image. So yeah, wearing that much might make people look at you funny in the halls! Your eye color sounds very pretty, but you do NOT need to be wearing eyeliner in 6th grade. At your age, concealer and lip gloss are all that you should wear everyday, with a tiny, tiny, tiny, miniscule amount of mascara on top lashes only on special occassions. Please, I beg of you, don't do what most girls your age are doing by applying too much makeup. I hope I helped!!

Truly, that is the perfect amount! I bet you look gorgeous!

If people make funny faces at you, they're either jealous or they are just trying to make you scared of them (Like they're better than you). I say, you act like you just came from a photo shoot, and people will respect you. That is the perfect amount for you, just make sure you use a lighter lip gloss, wash your face VERY good when you get home, and use a moisterizer or lotion before you put on your makeup, so it doesn't sophicate your face. Have fun in 6th grade!

i think the concealer is all you need. when i was in the 6th grade last year, most of the cool ppl didn't wear makeup, not bcuz they were too young, cuz they don't need it. only the preppy hollister/abercrombie wearing ppl wear makeup.

Infact, this one girl at the begining of the year wore makeup ( really bold pink eyeshadow), and everyone was staring at her, so she had to cover her face with a notebook.

P.S. the ppl in my school are waaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy cooler than they portray on TV, so take this as VERY GOOD ADVICE

I wouldn't worry about it, whatever you feel comfortable wearing. It sounds like you're wearing the perfect amount. I would say don't worry what other people think about your makeup, but I remember what sixth grade was like. Good luck in middle school! :)

i wore so much make up in 6th grade... foundation,masraca,liner.. everything haha but im goin into 9th grade and now i just wear little bit on concealer,mascara,liner and lip gloss. Its more natural :)

A little make-up never hurt anybody. Yea, 6th grade seems a little young to go all out, but this seems fine. But you don't need make up to feel good about yourself, although it is a great confidence booster. Good Luck :)

make sure you dont overuse the conceler or eyeliner and

use a color of lipgloss that suits u or just use clear

No. Just make sure u apply it right! And dont put anymore on! To many little 6th graders come into school thinking they are all cool with their clumpy mascara and ccaked on foundation, and me and my friends are just like, no. Haha. Dont be like them. But it sound really pretty, and I love it when the lip gloss is clear, it looks natrual!

I think that a little eyeliner is just fine, as long as you don't over do it. Just a little will make your eyes for sure POP! Lip gloss is for all ages! So YES on the lip gloss. The concealer: It's perfectley fine! But JUST for the zits and dark circles

As long as you don't OVER do it, you should be fine!!! Ask your mom or a friend for their opinion

for your age eyeliner , mascara,  lip  gloss, maybe a lil bit of eyeshadow but nothing to bright or dramatic. Also dont use concealer or foundation it clogs your pores and makes your face look greasy for those zits use Neutrogena oil free acne wash

Anyways, I wouldn't wear make up you don't need to. But thats just me, I know this sounds really dumb, but be a kid! Before you know it you will be my age.
