Making Friends as a Couple?

Question

Me and my wife have some good friends - however - its been about 5 yrs since we last made any friends. Now lots of our other friends are settling down and are not interested in going out much or taking trips away - we would like to make some new friends but find this difficult.

Any ideas??

My husband and I had the same problem, what we did was focused on us and took dancing lessons, cooking classes, and marriage enrichment classes. We didn't really think our marriage needed a lot of work but we thought we would meet other couples by going to those things as a couple. we ended up having a lot of fun making our relationship stronger and making a few new friends.
