Making fun of music i like?

im a freshman in highschool. is it wierd if i like burning up by jonas brothers or get back by demi lavato. my friends do.

It's really sad that people have to be embarrassed because they like listening to a certain type of music.  We don't get teased for liking any other art form.  You shouldn't care about what people think of the music you like.  Everyone likes something that would be considered embarrassing and if they say they don't, then they're lying.  Be the bigger person.  Listening doesn't to the Jonas Brothers does not make you a nerd.  All it means is that you really like listening to Major chords.  Your stupid friends probably don't even know what that means.

I can see how people would perceive it as weird. Personally, I don't understand all the Disney music craze, but from what I've seen it's mostly girls that are into it, not boys. So perhaps that's why they think it's weird.  But if you like it then whatever, it's cool, just don't tell anyone else, haha jk.

If that's the type of music you like, there is nothing wrong with that. JB music is pretty catchy :) You shouldn't worry about what your friends think. I think it's pretty sad that your friends as well as people on here are calling you names because you like something that they don't.

It's not weird. Listening to talentless "artists" seem to be what's in right now. But I still don't understand why people can't listen to real music instead of what Disney Channel throws out at people.
