Does anyone have a good recipe for making rye bread without using yeast?

  1. Here is a recipe for yeast free rye bread.  

    Ingredients

    3 cups whole grain flour (i.e., rye in this case)

    2-1/2 cups distilled/purified water

    1 tbsp baking powder

    1 tbsp olive oil

    1/4 - 1/2 tsp sea salt

    Batter Preparation and Cooking

    Mix liquids and dry ingredients separately, then combine and mix well.

    Place in a floured 9" x 5" pan or 9" x 9" cake pan.

    Bake at 375 F for 50-55 minutes

    When a baker's pick comes out clean and the top is light to medium brown, cool the bread on a rack for 30 minutes.  Do not cut the bread until completely cool.
