Mall leasing space or storefront property?

I would like to know, which option has the best advantages as far as a storefront property or mall retail space. I am looking to expand my busines from online to a physical address. And which is cheaper?

  1. In general, mall space will be more expensive. However, for that extra money you will get extra exposure and more casual walk ins through your  store. Hopefully, this will result in more than enough sales to cover the extra expense. A lot depends on the type of store and the product you are selling. Shoe stores do great in a mall compared to storefront. But motorcycle shop would be unlikely to do enough extra sales in a mall to justify the extra cost. So, are there other stores that are doing well like yours in the mall? If so, you should be in the mall.

    Once in awhile, the mall may give you a break on the rent if you are selling something that nobody else in the mall is selling and they want to round out their selection of stores.
