  1. Mamma mia says Oh my god

  2. originally people used to say "madonna mia!" but is not a good thing to pronounce the name of the Madonna every time (especially if you are angry) so instead of "madonna" now we say "mamma".

that is something we usually do; if an expression is too rude we find another word which starts with the same letters

  3. It's an exclamation, the right translation is "My mum!", but but it doesn't make sense, so it's like "Oh my God".

  4. my mum!

...but you use another way to say the same thing...oh my god!

    ciao a tutti!!

    bye to everybody

  5. We dont ALWAYS say mamma mia of course...anyway in that way you show your worries or surprise...is like to say "bloody h**l" in english...

  6. i noticed that i say this word when I'm really angry...for example i argued with my host mother(as I'm an exchange student) and i said "mamma mia" cause she didn't shut up..mamma mia means "oh my mom!"

  7. If you are in difficulties the first thing in your mind is to call for help so some people call for their mother is the most safe place in the world your mothers arm.

  8. It's just like saying "Oh my God!" but literally it means "My mother".

Plus, they don't say it THAT much, it's just a stereotype.

  9. It's just something we do when we are fustrated lol. I guess it comes natural :)

  10. it means "oh my god!!".. we say mamma mia whe you (american) say oh my god...

    i'm italian...

    10 points please :D:D
