Marcel Drucker talking watch

Question

My father (who is 97 ad blind) got a Marcel Drucker talking watch a few years ago. The watch has now started saying random times at the hour - i.e. two, o'clock, then 10:00 o'clock, then 1:00 o'clock. We purchased a new one for him but he does not like the way the new watch works so I need to find a way to get this old one fixed. Any ideas?
