Marijuana????

Question

ok so we have this plant growing in our back yard and it looks just like marijuana but it has seven leaves on a fan, and i thought marijuana has nine leaves. idk really that much about stuff like this so i was just wondering.

p.s. my mom got it from one of her friends and they called it a "mexican sunflower/\"

please just tell me what this is and if it is maybe related to the marijuana plant or w/e thnx much!!! xoxo

watch the plant grow... if it starts to smell like a skunk... or doesnt show any yellow leaves like a sunflower should.. i bet then you mamas growing some chronic!

this is a link to a mexican sunflower.  i couldn't find any young ones with no flowers.  if your plant's leaves don't look like this, then it might be a pot plant.

only fully mature mj plants have 9 leaves.

when they are very small they have 3 leaves,

then as they get bigger they get 5 leaves, then seven, and once they are fully mature then they have 9 leaves.

Haha, Mexican sunflowers look nothing like a Cannabis plant. It's not fully grown yet so that's why it only has seven leaves. Take good care of it!
