Mario Kart Wii battle mode online?

Question

Ok so I was playing Battle mode online on mario kart wii for the first time and I noticed that it has changed a lot from the from the other versions (64, double dash, ds)

some things that happened when I was playing:

1. You can't play free for all. Just everyone against each other. I mean I never played mario kart ds online so I don't know if you could do it on that but free for all would have been pretty cool.

2. It seems liked that had the 6000 and 7000vr people on one team and me and the other 5000/4000 on the other :-/

3. I got hit with a blue shell.............. Come on man

4. I fell off the cliff on block plaza......Come on man

5. I didn't fall off the cliff on Skyscraper......wierd...

Anyone have any tips for playing battle mode?

when you get mushrooms use them to your advantage!!! when you are near someone use them and you can steal a balloon from them. (you probably knew this but ti is still effective. R.O.B is right to. and you get a blueshell if you are loosing really bad and you can wipe out the person who has a lot of baloons/coins. and the blueshell is good in coin matches because i usually dont hurt anyone i just grab coins and i get about 30 then get hammerd with about 3 blueshells. and the ranks are all random so dont worry.

when you get a star or a mega mushroom or three red turtles and or a bomb go to a Connor and just stand their till somebody comes near you and then get them but don't do it too much or you miss out on the game
