  1. the trade would be better if the Angels could get CC and Ryan Braun because it looks much more sweeter.

  2. Tex will provide great protection for Vlad. Teixeira has had much better 2nd half numbers in the past and he has this year also. The Halos are dangerous!!!

  3. A new Dynamic Duo

  4. I think Teixiera's presence will be huge protection in the lineup for Vlad, it's one aspect that the Angels have been missing for some time now. I am a Red Sox fan, and am not yet ready to call it a season quite yet, because I believe in the brain trust in Boston to get things done! Having said that, the Angels scare the h**l out of me, however the Sox seem to have the Angel's number in the post-season, and as we all know anything can happen in October!!!

  5. They will be a great combo, maybe not as great as Manny and big poppi but defenitely a lethal combination.

  6. yeah, unless they keep manny then "maybe never"

i think the angels havent been this good ever, they are on pace to win well over a hundred games this year, something they didn't even do in 02.

yes texiera and vlad those two are now comparable to manny and ortiz duo.  with hunter and anderson in the lineup as well the angels are just too good to be true. this is theyre year.

  7. Part 1, Yes. Teixiera is a fantastic addition to the line-up. I'm an Angel fan and I can't tell you how exciting it is that they made this move. Not only because it's a great bat (really one of the most productive in the majors over the last couple years), but they finally did something. They've been in this situation year after year and just sat idly by, needing a bat and not doing anything. I'm really glad they finally addressed the need.

I've got to say though. If I were a Red Sox fan I wouldn't even dream of throwing in the towel. I mean, that team is still incredibly well put together and very, VERY dangerous. I would put the Angels down as favorites to go all the way right now, but it is by no means set in stone.

  8. He will benefit greatly.  But Boston still is a dangerous threat.  They have a chance to have the best record in the AL, and then the Angels will need to win a series in Boston, that is bery tough.  And you are forgetting that the Red Sox have been playing without David Ortiz for most of the season, and they just got him back.  An Ortiz-Manny combo is still better than a Vlad-Tex one.  And Boston has solid starting pitching that perfroms well in the post season.  So as an Angels fan, do not be so confident.

  9. I would take Utley and Howard over them anyday of the week. Vlad is a has-been and Teixiera is a defensive star, end of story!
