Mark Teixiera traded to the Angels?

The Braves traded Tex to the Angels for Casey Kotchman and other players...Is Tex what will finally get the Angels past the Red Sox in the playoffs?

tex is going to help (he better help!!) offensively i believe and when we go to post season i think he's going to help the angels get far..

i was shaky in getting tex because i was kinda looking ahead.. he is a FA at the end of the season.. that's when things get sticky.. i mean 2 month rental? come on!!

with that being said, casey was one of my fav angels.. he's a great player so i believe its a fair trade. he'll be missed :(

He is definitly an upgrade, but they are sacrificing core offensive players of a pretty close-knit team. This could spell disaster this late in the season. And he's a 2 month rental. Very unlikely they will ante up for him and K-Rod in the offseason.

Tex will definitely get into the playoffs with the best team in the MLB, but giving a young prospect like Casy Kotchman has me thinking it was not worth it. Your already the best team, why do you need someone else?
