  1. yes, he could be traded this year on the trading deadline. he might stay if the braves are ready to take out the wallet. they traded salty, and a few other prospects cuz they thought they had enough to win it all but since this team just doesnt seem to be going anywhere, i say they will trade him and get some prospects cuz i think that would be better than waiting for the draft picks they would get for him. it would take much longer to develop them. while a minor league prospect is ready in 1 or 2 yrs. atlanta can resign him but i doubt it cuz the only reason they brought him was to win and hasnt worked out so well yet. i think they realize that they need to get young and although mark is not old, they can get a lot of good, young, talented players for him.

in other words, atlanta can resing him but i dont think they will. hope this helped

  2. Due to Teixeira's high price tag, he could very well be handed his one way ticket to another team if the offer is good.  I like the potentials of the Yankees or Red Sox baiting on him.  However, a lesser budget team has shown interest in Teixeira as for himself has shown interest...the Orioles.  Teixeira is native to Maryland and has experssed interest in playing closer to his hometown, a forty minute drive.

  3. Look for Atlanta to try and resign him but if the Yankees or even the Red Sox throw a large offer at him the Braves might just let him walk without matching the offer... They are well aware they need to address some pitching problems and the outfield situation next year, so they may let him go to free up some cash.

  4. yes.  it's up to him.  but the braves are going to have to offer him a buttload of money to keep him.
