Marriage in dominican republic

is there a age limit to marrying women in DR??? i notice a lot of men in their 30's and older marrying young girls like 17,18, etc.

18  is  the  legal  age  of  consent for  sexual  relations  but  marriage with  parental  consent can  be  much  much  younger  . .   also  , when  a  woman  has  a  child  before  the  age of  18  she  is  considered  legal .    but  its true  ,  these  young  hotties  are  marrying  these  fat  old  farts  for  the  size  of  there  wallets  and  maybe a  one way ticket  to  oz  if  ther  lucky , not  for  ther  hairy  backs  and  gold  chains .

Without parent consent the legal age is 18 years old. Yes a lot of "older" men marrying a Dominican woman (girls) but are the woman marrying the men for his beautiful eyes? The majority is for escaping poverty or to have a visa to go elsewhere...
