heating a 6.862 g sample of an ore containing a metal sulfide in excess oxygen produces 1053 ml of S)2 gas measured at 66 degrees C and 739 mmHg. Calculate the percentage of mass by mass of sulfur in the ore.

please help and show steps!

  1. n = pV / RT = 0.972 atm x 1.053 L / 0.0821 x 339 K =  0.03682

    Mass S2 = 0.03682 x 64.132 g/mol =2.361 g

    % S = 2.361 x 100 / 6.862 =34.41
