  1. 1) I wouldn't want to see that matchup, because of the huge difference in natural size.

    2) If for some crazy reason both men got it on, Tarver would win, as much as it pains me to say that. Mayweather started his career at super featherweight (130) and Tarver has been a light heavyweight (175) his entire career. Tarver would not be phased by any of Mayweather's punches and Mayweather would not be used to getting hit by someone that much naturally bigger than himself. The power difference would eventually show itself sometime during the fight. Also, I really don't think Mayweather would be able to carry his speed if he had to move up to 170-175 to fight Tarver.

  2. not really, mayweather would win that one for sure

  3. tarver has a reach advantage and would have to drop in wieght but mayweather is such a smart fighter - it would be tough fight i would love to see even though I think that pretty boy would pull it out.

In his last few fights he played the counter puncher and doing what it takes to win on points. Mayweather is that dude right now!!!

Did you see him count a million cash $$$ on youtube - thats what you get when you can make $100 mil.(total= boxing commission, showtime cable ,and pay per view) from boxing smart.

What ever happened to Jermaine Taylor (you can mail me on that one)

  4. 1.  I would rather see Floyd take on someone his own size, namely, Miguel Cotto.

    2.  This fight will never happen because Floyd Mayweather, Jr. is a welterweight (147 pounds) while Antonio Tarver is a light heavyweight (175 pounds).  The size differential is too big.  If you were to ask, who is better pound for pound, then it is without a doubt, Floyd because he is the best in the world currently.  Floyd is faster, better defensively, and more accurate with his shots than Tarver is.  Some people may critisize Floyd for his choice of opponents, but its nothing compared to Tarver's opponents recently.  Tarver has been fighting club fighters calling himself the best in his division after he disgraced himself against Bernard Hopkins when he lost his title.  Memo to Tarver- Rocky Balboa does not count as an opponent!  At least he'll be fighting a world-class guy on April 12th when he fights Clinton Woods.

  5. I would have agreed with most of these people saying Tarver would win because of his size, but that was before he beat Big Show. Big Show out weighed Mayweather by about 300 lbs. He could surely handle Tarver's extra 20 - 30 lbs. Mayweather is way to smart of a boxer to let Tarver catch him on the ropes.

    Mayweather by KO in 11.

  6. Floyd

  7. What is peoples fixation of Mayweather fighting Light Heavyweights (175)?

No, I would rather see him fighting in the 147 & 154 divisions.

Tarver would win, he is simply too big.  Tarver is large for his own division and has a long reach.  Tarver's main weakness is conditioning and pacing, and niether of these would come into play since Mayweather's activity level wouldn't be an issue, because he would be overly cautious.  It would likely go the distance and be very boring.  If Floyd tried to make something happened he would get layed out.
