Mayweather with MMA?

I was just on youtube and said something about Mayweather possible joining a MMA company. Now if Kimbo Slice joined with a MMA promotion then why wouldn't Mayweather?

Plus if he joined the MMA business and was in the UFC and dominates the business then he can say he is the best fighter in the world.

Thats just my opinion, Set his first fight with Chris Leben or someone. We dont wanna start him off with Liddell or St. Piearra.

  1. It is true he is considering MMA and has retired himself from boxing. Second of all he is too small to fight Chris Leben or Chuck Liddell ,all 3 of these fighters are in different weight classes. his first fight should be against a jon kopenhaver type if they want him to be big in mma.

  2. mayweather is to short and doesnt know a thing about jui jitsu or muay thai yah hes fast but if he gets caught hes done stick with boxing

  3. i would like to see his buddy 50 cent in mma so the whole world can see him getting his *** kicked.

  4. he or any other boxer wouldnt make it past the first round, it wouldnt even be a fight.

put him right in with liddell or st pierre...hes the one talking sh*t about how crappy mma is compared to boxing and that liddell couldnt make it as a boxer.

ironically...a mma fighter would do better in a boxing match, than a boxer would do in a mma match.

now...if mayweather was to train in mma he'd have a better shot. but with only boxing....1st round submission no matter what fighter he faced

  5. While its most likely never going to happen, Floyd fighting in mma would definitely be interesting.  A lot of people jump to conclusions saying that he would be beaten easily.  The reality is that if he were going into mma, he would train in all aspects.  If he only trained in boxing for his mma debut, yes, he would lose rather quickly.  However, a boxer coming into mma to learn all the disciplines is no different then the wrestler (Randy Couture), the bjj practioner (BJ Penn), the kickboxer (Cro Cop), etc.  If people from other styles can learn new ways of fighting, why do people assume that an elite athlete like Floyd would be unable to?  I would contend that within 2 years of training, Floyd would be a legitimate mma fighter, maybe not the best, but definitely legitimate.  The odds are, he will never fight in mma because its too much of a risk for him and he might not be humble enough to learn the other disciplines, but thats a whole different story.

  6. Mayweather will never fight in MMA because he wouldn't make as much as he would doing boxing. Why would he go from making $20 million + a fight in boxing to maybe $1 million a fight in MMA. At 145 pounds, he can't make it in the UFC because they don't have a featherweight division. He has no ground fighting. If he learned some Jiu Jitsu or wrestling then he would have a shot. Chris Leben is a middleweight at 185 so that won't work. St Pierre is a welterweight at 170. Liddell is a light heavyweight at 205. Well Marcus Davis was able to make the transition from boxing to MMA but he had to take the grappling seriously.  Most likely, if Mayweather were to get into MMA, it would just to be a promoter.

  7. wow your not well informed
