The actual Southern chicken is delicious, way better than the old crispy chicken, and the mcchicken. Southern style sandwich, I haven't tried it, but it seems pretty gross. Pickles and butter do not make a sandwich.

I ordered a regular chicken sandwich the other day and got the southwest chicken. I'm not sure if that is what a "regular" chicken sandwich is at Mcdonald's or  if they just gave me the wrong one. I was so mad because it only had pickles. It was gross. I had to go home and fix it up with other condiments.

Ah man this sandwich is great! Just because i work there doesn't mean i am premoting this item. I had this sandwich when i was on break one day and decided to have it and it was really good!! The downside though was that it only had pickles on it (bummer). It really doesn't taste any differently than any other chicken sandwich. Reallllly good!!! Try it, you'll love it!!

Yes, I do.  It is very similar to a Chick-fil-A sandwich and I think it's less spicy than the McChicken.   The McChicken that I tried had way too much pepper.
