Mean People!?

Question

Okay so on this website some people are being mean...

I just want your opinion on if that is okay. I need people to be honest but I don't want them to make rude comments. But it is not at the point where I can report them because it really isn't bad i just don't like it. I want to be honest with people when I am helping them but I most of the time have some way of making it sound helpful and not rude!

Does this make sense to anybody?!?!

Of course everyone can be honest without being rude.

There is no need to be rude to others when trying to be honest.

I have no problem using the Report It button if someone is unusually obnoxious and rude in a question or answer.  If Yahoo! Answers does not think they are stepping over the line, the Y!A team will let their answer stay.  Otherwise, they remove them.  When it comes to other rude but not over-the-top answers, you have the right to tell the person that they are stepping over the line and to not vote them for Best Answer.

When it comes to you writing the answer, just watch what you say. I  have only been reported a few times.  All those times the person was a troll, and I should have not even bothered answering the question... just reporting the question.

You also have the option of blocking the person if they push your button one too many times.  When they go back to view that question and see they can't view it, they'll know they stepped over the line.

I think people tend to be much more blunt and to the point when there is no chance of being seen.  I think if they are not being just plain rude, then chances are that they are telling you how they feel and you just don't like their opinion.
