Measels???

My 7 year old had the measel shot when he was a baby,and had the measels 1 day later.The doctor said that is was normal.So now he is 7 and I think he has the measels again is there any medacation for it?Also I also have to girls 5,2 can thay catch them also?Thanks for all the answers!!

  1. the one that he got the day after the shot is just to get rid of that one type of sickness but in science class we learned that if u get a shot for something u will get that sickness probably really soon just so u cant get that one again but if he does have them its a different kind u can never have the same exact sickness over but idk if theres any medications and idk about cathcing them but it is normal to get them again cause it will never be the exact same case!!!


  2. Yes, some times this happens. Sounds like his immune system wasn't the best back then. Just take him to the doctor and they can help.

I seriously doubt your child has the measles, HOWEVER, take him to the doctor just in case.  It used to be a childhood illness that makes the kid miserable, but they are usually fine.  The most dangerous symptoms come from the fever.  Also, it is very dangerous for adults who have lost their immunity.  Do not expose him to anyone outside the household.  What you are probably seeing is the rash associated with scarlitina or scarlet fever.
