Memory Card Reader Question ??

Question

What exactly is a Memory Card Reader? Which SD cards will work? Or do they vary?

I have a Micro SD 1 GB card in my LG Shine. What Memory Card Reader would I need for it to work with my PC.

Sorry for all the dumb questions I am trying to figure this whole thing out..

Most memory card readers will read at least 15 different types of memory cards. Your Micro SD card should have come with an adapter so that it can be used as a standard size SD card.

You should be able to find a card reader at a reasonable price at Wal-Mart or at most stores that sell electronics. Here are some pictures:

Most computers that have come out in the past few years should have some form of memory card reader slot installed.  The SD card is a very popular card but as said above you will need to use the adapter that came with it to use it in your computer.  If you format the card on your computer it may not work in your mobile phone again, just keep that in mind.  Also memory card readers can also write data to a card.
