Mercury Grand Marquis seat question

Question

I have a 92 grand marquis and would like a little extra room up front, would it be possible to move the front seat back an inch or so....would it be possible to get 4 pieces of 3/8 flat bar-stock and drill two holes to relocate the seat?

anything is possible but you don't sounds very comfortable with your fabrication ability, this should be quite easy but you may want to look for  a friend who is a metal fabricator to help you

It is theoretically possible, but the seats are a pivotal part of the restraint system and shouldnt be modified.

you must be a tall m**o if you need more room in a full size car. Sure its possible, but I wouldn't risk doing that as you and the seat might go flying into the windshield in an accident. Make sure you triple reinforce if you do this.
